The Cromley lab investigates how cognition and motivation work separately and together to help students learn about, achieve in, and remain committed to Science, Technology, Mathematics, and Engineering courses, classes and majors.
We do basic and applied research in 1) How students learn from illustrated scientific text and 2) How learning strategies and motivation work together to help students persist in STEM.
